Golf Course Water main replacement - Cherry Hills, Colorado

The golf course required replacement of 4200 of 8” waterline to upgrade the facility's existing irrigation infrastructure . The designed path of the waterline snaked along the fairway crossing multiple cart paths and drainage ways. Open trenching was not an option due because the golf course sought to preserve its pristine grounds and also did not want disturb golfing operations. Directional boring was the answer because it allowed the course to remain open during the construction.

L & M utilized directional boring for the installation of 4,200 linear feet of 8-inch high-density polyethylene (HDPE) irrigation line. The scope of this project encompassed potholing to verify depths of existing utilities, directional drilling, pipe fusing and pipe placement. L & M also provided fusing for the T's, and valves.
